DECLARATION OF SUPPORT FOR IRISH LOCAL DEVELOPMENT COMPANIES

dont close it

I have many first hand experiences of this working in our community and county, please don't change it...it is a lieline for voluntary and community groups ..an alternative will not work

supporting the ongoing critical economic support that Ballyhoura Development abd other local development companies are doing for their respecive regions

funds for local projects should be delivered by local organisations that know the area

I wish to support Ballyhoura Development

This makes no sense! How do you make an in-depth and appropriate decision without the local knowledge.

I supportleader

Local Development Companies have been pivitol in offering training and employment opportunities particularly aimed at those people in the community who don't qualify for other government or state agency support. This has helped me personally and others I know to access training and information, advice and support that has been vital in our efforts to return to work. We need them to stay and continue their work. It's as simple as that!

Thanks to the help and support 6th Cavan Kingscourt received from the Cavan Monaghan Leader project, we will finally have our own den after 12 years of renting three nights a week in the local community centre. The staff have been wonderfully supportive and helped us through every step of the process.

It's a crying shame if this goes ahead

We are greatly indebted to Ballyhoura and staff for all their excellent initatives and community promotion and assistance. We need Ballyhoura . There's much to be done and they are the people to do it and know how to do it.

I support this petition as in my experience as a small business owner, SECAD understands the challenges facing small businesses and provides valuable networking and training opportunities. SECAD provides a valuable and relevant service that is not provided by any other agency in this area. Small businesses are the lifeblood of communities and taking away a supporting hub from that community does not make social or financial sense.

My local community is a great testament to the great work of Local Devlelopment Companies

The Local Development Companies are needed now more than ever to help us out of the present recession.

These local development companies are so essential to local business creation and growth of employment, and are embedded in the fabric of today's Ireland.

Please leave well enough alone, getting the local autorrities to sort out thier own work and leavethe community programmes to the people that know.

I support the retention of the local development groups

Tá ról fíor thabhachtach ag eagraisí den tsaghas seo, cuireann siad seirbhisí pobail ar fáil atá riachtanach, agus go mbeidh se fíor dheacair iad a chur ar fail gan eagraisí den tsaghas seo. SECAD offer essential services to many communities, and I know that we in Togher have benefitted from SECAD

I very much support this petition

Our battered communities need this support.
