When politicians speak of efficiencies they mean it for other people (not themselves or banks, or developers) and they also mean it in a crude numerical sense, having little appreciation of the depth of work that can be required to support a person long-term unemployed regain confidence, motivation and rejoin the work force. How do you efficiently aid the integration of immigrants into society - the 'efficient' state response - put them in Dickensian direct provision? Four hundred thouusand unemployed - hey, let's focus on on investor confidence! This crew in government want to dismantle an entire social model with no understanding of that model in the first place or the consequences that will follow for marginalised people.

Your education element has been most beneficial in West Limerick area, accessibility of staff members to discuss issues and help access solutions has been of enormous help since its inception.

To our public representatives Further to KENMARE TIDY TOWNS ’s letter to Minister Phil Hogan, T.D. Minister for the Environment last April (acknowledged receipt REP1646/PH/13) Kenmare’s voluntary community groups of Kenmare Tidy Towns Assoc & Kenmare Bay Project, wish to voice the ongoing concern over proposed changes to South Kerry Development Partnership and would urge the Minister and our representatives to fully consider the importance of (a) Keeping the decision making at the grass roots level it has operated so successfully from since its inception and, (b) This Partnership continuing to hold all contracts. I attach copy of initial support letter outlining examples of the enormous amount of environmental upgrade works and Kenmare town improvements have been funded by RDP/LEADER and how the role of the local expertise and support of SKDP has been crucial to achieving this. I look forward to your response. Yours sincerely, Anne Barrett, Secretary Kenmare Bay Project & KTTA.

Leave Clare Local Development Company alone to do its great work. if you want to reduce th cost of jobs then sack the idol surplus staff from the councils. Leave the development companies continue to develop.
