Irish Local Development Companies are immensely important in areas of disadvantage where they are crucial in the economic and social recovery in these communities

Keep the Leader programme with local development companies, financial efficiencies cannot be the measurement tool used as evidence to change the structures as they currently exist.

WLD are skilled professionals who provide a vital service to the highest possible standards. We are an SME who have not directly worked with WLD but we do work with a number of companies who have benefited from WLD schemes, and some of these companies would not be where they are today, bringing jobs and business to Wexford, if it were not for WLD. If it isn't broken then please don't try to fix it.

We oppose the Government's cut back to the Ballyhoura Dev. Only for Ballyhoura Dev which is known far & wide their serves are excellent. It offers/helps all kinds of people to update their skills with the the facilities they give.Ths has been a great outlet for persons the schools would/did not cater for eg slow learners. We want to say well done & thank you Ballyhoura & keep up your excellent work. Only for you there is nothing else the government offers to the rural community. If Ballyhoura close this means more emigration for Irish people to leave as the Government has no interest in looking after our own young people. Government seems to have funds only for the non-nationals who never contribute. It is time we Irish people speak up and look after our own Irish people as it is causing too much rivalry at the moment.
