I want the previously call Leader Group to keep supporting local businesses. They gave me a grant to start my business in 1998 and I am still in business because of their support!

These companies do amazing work in rural deprived areas. They have local knowledge and best interests at heart, to get funding into the area, to develope not only the area, but more importantly to create jobs in an otherwise 'black spot'. They do training courses, that who else will offer - certainly not the local authority. They know the needs of their community, our local authority do not.

I wish to support the continuation of the role of my Local Development Company to allow it to continue to support vital community based services in our area.
Community groups need long term commitment with bottom up approach and not just quick fix for profit schemes
leave us our local developent companies
Retain local support for local communities
You don't know what you've got 'til it's gone!
Local development companies are vital to supporting Irish society
Another example of government neglecting the needs of those marginalised in society as a money saving exercise.
Privatisation will be the ruination of the community sector
Rural communities are resilient but not invincible. Please halt policies that damage them.
