Local development companies do an excellent job workign with local communities such as ours to understand our needs and to support us with the professional services they offer. They ecourage us to go about the taks the correct way , such as 5 year plans etc. We need this service.

All our local organisations have a great working relationship with our LDC. In return our LDC has a great understanding of the needs and supports of our organisations. Such interaction has generated mutual trust and cooperation between our community and our LDC. We are 100% happy with our LDC, so why try to fix it if it isn't broke?

We are a local youth group who have greatly benefited from the wisdom and experience of the highly motivated and professional DLDC Staff. W|e would like to see this highly efficient, knowledgeable team continue to deliver this project and in doing so continue to develop successful relations within all local communities. I do not believe the local council can deliver in either an economical or knowledgeable way when they lack the wealth of experience gained by DLDC's successful past 20 years.

It is vital that Local Development Companies continue to administer funding to the volunteers in local communities as they are closer to the communities and are aware of the activities going on throughout rural Ireland. This is another attempt to deprive rural people of the funding they need to pursue their objectives for the betterment of their communities. .

Ballyhoura Development has been very good to Glenroe GAA / Harvest Festival and Community over many years providing courses and training, funding and support for many community organisations. We currently have two employed through the RSS and this a great benefit to our community. We would hate to see any changes, Ballyhoura Development has done great work over the years and I sincerely hope this will be allowed to continue.

I have found Ballyhoura Developement to be very supportive in the commuinty and for community projects and would be very concerned about privatising this organization.
