As an employer in the Ballyhoura catchment area, I I cannot say enough for the support and expertise we have got from Ballyhoura Development over the years. I fully endorse their continuation.

Ballyhoura Development Ltd is an invaluable asset to providing transport in the Limerick area. Their extensive connections within the local communities help identify potential clients for Rural Bus, through their district forum meetings etc. Rural Bus also provides transport for the training programme Ballyhoura facilitates for people in disadvantaged areas, this training is diverse and essential.

Ballyhoura Development is a vital organisation in east / south Limerick, and the communities it serves will be at a serious loss if the experience of this LDP locally and regionally is undermined in favour of an alignment that eradicates the time, effort and commitment of those who have built its success to date. 25 years of experience cannot be overlooked!

Stop cuts to the most disadvantaged groups and look at raising more revenue by raising corporation tax by 1/2% - the big companies won't run, they are making too much here avoiding tax

it is a mistake to remove the responsiblities from Ballyhoura, they do great work and are extremely efficent. this proposed change will be regreted in the short term by local groups and in the long term by the goverment itself.

I am working for Ballyhoura Rural Services. The majority of the staff are on a CE scheme through Fas. The people that we work with to help develop a bigger and better community spirit and work heavily on rural inclusion. the importance of the work we carry out could only be measured through finding out how the community is starting to come back to what it was 30 yeaes ago where people looked out for each other . The programmes that have been developed and the group's that have been set up to help the rural community survive and grow are emense. looking forward to its continuation.
