It's about time this town got back to its roots, and started putting qualified people from town in managerial positions. This would be the perfect place to start. There is no reason to look elsewhere , when you have a more than qualified person in front of you. Never mind the years of devotion he has given to the town and the department.

I worked with Lt Fitzgerald for many years on the MPD. He knows Manchester and its people. He is smart, dedicated, and level-headed; has integrity, common sense, and experience. I have no hesitation saying that Todd would be an excellent Police Chief for Manchester.

I cannot think of any one more qualified to be chief of police then Todd Fitzgerald.He knows the town so well and everyone I know thinks the world of him.He is a knowledgeable and kind man.Todd is the man.

I fully support Lt Todd Fitzgerald for the position of Chief of Police for Manchester ,Mass. I've known Todd for a long time and watched him earn his way through the ranks. He's a good man, father and Police officer and is fully qualified. I've also been asked to ad Margery Burgess's and Elaine Burgess's support for Lt Todd Fitzgerald. We are confident in his leadership.

I have worked directly with Todd for several years, and have always found him to be very professional and knowledgeable. He also knows the town, its issues and its history, which are very beneficial to the role and something an outside candidate cannot bring to thejob.

Having lived in Manchester BTS for almost 16 years, I feel qualified to opine on this subject. I do not personally know Todd Fitzgerald, but if most of his qualities detailed in letters to the Cricket over the past several months are to be believed, he is certainly qualified and, dare I say entitled, to be actively considered for the position of Chief. I see no reason for our town to act as if it is a large metropolis and to conduct a nationwide search. It is far more important that folks in that kind of position really understand the history and fabric of Manchester.
