We don’t what subdivisions on every corner or large tract of land in our community!

More homes equals more yankees and ignorant people with more crime. God knows we already have enough. They bring their ideas down here with them and next thing you know more taxes and liberal agendas shoved down our throats.

We were already lacking in infrastructure. Something needs to be done...some planning perhaps??

Need growth but we need a plan for infrastructure to handle it. 2 lane roads in Chapin is a problem. Let's not make Gilbert and Pelion the same problem. Our roads and power grid is full and crumbling.

This will be over crowding the school, roads that don’t get fixed already. Save some of our country spots.

I am in favor of this moratorium to provide time to craft a long term growth plan for the unincorporated portions of our county. Unchecked growth without infrastructure and adequate land use planning will be detrimental to our property values.

County Council has to devise a growth plan that encompasses the following. Green Space. In a lot of areas of other states developers are recquired to keep 25-30 percent if the tract untouched. This included a buffer around the entire tract. Reduce house density per acre. No exceptions for land that can’t be developed. Larger setbacks help with density. Higher setbacks on all creeks, rivers, streams, and tributaries to protect the water quality. Impact Fees to Developers. This greatly reduces the tax-payers burden to pay for the developers profits. Developers will go kicking and screaming at all of the above. However, this is the right thing to do to protect the very neighborhoods that you live in. They have gotten away with too much intense development for too long. If they don’t like it, they can move to the next county that may accept the wreck less pattern of development.

We are tired of the city giving out sewer taps in large quantities to these Mungo and DR Horton home developments… Listen to your community

PLEASE slow the large developer over building in Chapin! The infrastructure is terrible now & will only get worse at the rate of growth currently going on. Most of us moved out here for the small town feel & DO NOT want to live in just another poorly planned high traffic nightmare that is the Harbison area.

The developers / new home buyers should pay for ALL the sewer expansion & upgrade THEY NEED. Existing customers have paid enough & don't need it. Also fix the traffic congestion before ANY more building happens.
