Please stop the horrible growth of Chapin and all of Lexington County. The small town is no longer the small town. The traffic is a nightmare and will be even worse with the addition of the school that was not needed on Amick’s Ferry.

We need better EMS, environmental control of lake Murray, wider roads in subdivisions, and better traffic flow and road development

Please allow the moratorium so that Lexington County Council has the time to figure out our road and infrastructure problems.

Infrastructure is way behind the current population. It is irresponsible to allow more growth without coordinating planning. Roads are already a problem and other things, such as our highly-valued schools will follow.

My wife & I totally support the moratorium & urgently request the Lexington County council to keep it in place until infrastructure issues are resolved to contain & maintain the number of houses are being allowed in the Hilton/Chapin area. We are overwhelmed & our area is not ready for anymore traffic/schools/taxes.

I support the moratorium. Please save our communities from so much growth.

There should be no building permits granted until the county and the cities involved can support the needs of the present people and support the needs of the future residents

The infra structure willnot support the growth as it is now. Traffic on 76 isa bumper to bumper almost any time of day

My husband & I support the current moratorium & prayfully urge the Lexington County council to keep it in place until infrastructure issues are resolved & downsizing of large subdivisions is stopped. The Chapin area is overgrown.

Please fix the roads and infrastructure in Chapin. It can hardly handle the number of residents already living here. When the infrastructure is in place, please allow for larger setbacks from the street and between homes in the new construction, longer driveways and fewer homes per acre, STOP the clear cutting so that Lake Murray can be protected, as well as surrounding environment. Please ensure better EMS service, wider roads in subdivisions for the emergency vehicles to utilize. Growth is a good thing when well planned out and done responsibly.

Lexington County is being developed to the detriment of the current residents as far as infrastructure is concerned.

My husband and I fully support the moratorium, and urge council to keep it in place until they resolve all the issues regarding large subdivisions and fixing the infrastructure.

We are already being overrun in the Chapin area by traffick. Likewise, our roads are constantly being torn up by heavy trucks/equipment headed to construction sites which are springing up everywhere. I understand that people want their children in the Chapin schools & like living on or near the lake. However, our schools are running out of space & the current infrastructure is just not going to support this kind of growth. PLEASE DO SOMETHING BEFORE IT IS TOO LATE!

These 2-lane roads throughout Chapin cannot handle more traffic from new subdivisions.

I support this moratorium and actually would support more time if necessary to allow for better planning of growth in our area.

Better roads as well as sidewalks on well traveled roads

Orderly managed growth, not free rein chaos. Those of us who live here will suffer the consequences long after the developers have moved elsewhere

The growth rate in this county is ridiculous. We need new responsible citizens on the county council.
