Please stop the building in Chapin. What you have allowed is too much for the roads we have.

Stop the uncontrolled development in Lexington County. There are not enough roads, schools, Medical facilities to support further growth until the infrastructure is addressed!

We are NOT Columbia! We do not want small lots with "cookie cutter" housing!

There needs to be fewer homes/acre (minimum of .5 acre lots going forward in CHAPIN - to make up for the awful .15 acre lots that have in recent years been allowed); widening of all main through roads (3-4 lanes); expansion of the streets department; require EACH new home being built to be assessed a “special assessment” to pay for roads, water, sewers, etc. BEFORE being given any building permits; no massive clearing of trees, and MUCH more - or this town will be a traffic congested nightmare and the developers will be long gone & laughing all the way to the bank. If possible charge the assessment to each home that has already received building permits prior to approving occupancy. These developers are making millions of dollars at the expense of our town and they need to pay for the infrastructure which will support the massive numbers of people that their developments are bringing in to the area. It’s NOT too much to ask!!!!

Please do something about the burdensome growth in Lexington County. Our roads cannot support the traffic and the environment is being stressed to the limit. We need trees to provide oxygen and all we see is trees being mowed down everywhere.

Enough with all the build and construction. The roads cannot hold all the traffic now. Adding more cars will create more hazards and the potential for more accidents! We do not have enough restaurants, stores and businesses to support all this additional traffic/ influx of people!!!

I support this moratorium until county council comes up with a clear plan to address the growth in the county.

Lexington county is at least 30 years behind the times. Setbacks on home should be a minimum of 25 ft, driveway should be a minimum of four cars, streets and neighborhoods are not wide enough for instance on my street a service vehicle be can be parked and if a neighbor has company parked on the street nobody can get by. Having homes this close together might be enticing for someone looking for a home but once their hair it creates nothing but problems between neighbors. Our roads are an absolute disgrace to this country. We can't afford to have more people moving here with a poor infrastructure that we currently have.

I oppose the continued growth of these builders/ developers who come in and throw up so many houses and reap the benefits and us tax payers are left to pay for the schools, roads, and other infrastructure. The approvals are so the tax base increases for the government but is obvious your roads around Chapin cannot support this growth that we are seeing now.

The over development and lack of a comprehensive plan in Lexington County is sad. There are so few amenities for hikers, bike riders, and even nature reserves. Total disregard for the wildlife in the area. How about some GREEN SPACE in the developing communities. Please, let’s not destroy our county any further.

We don't have infrastructure to support current traffic! This must be addressed before adding even more.

Comprehensive planning is always a good thing!

Developers who are making the millions on these developments must be held accountable for the intense cost and impact on our schools and infrastructure The tax payers can no longer bare the burden

Lexington county desperately needs a comprehensive growth plan to include infrastructure improvements for roads, schools, and quality-of-life services. Throwing up 4-5 houses on an acre of land is choking/destroying our roadways and our schools.

The roads are a nightmare now...what will we do a couple years from now if this growth continues? Not to mention water & sewer.

The roads cannot handle more traffic right now. Please put the cart before the horse!

The county needs a comprehensive plan for future growth. And we need it NOW!!!! No more permits until a plan is put in place.

There are too many homes being built in Chapin. The tiny one lane roads can not support all the additional traffic. People can not get out of their subdivisions on Old Lex. Hwy. due to all the traffic plus 2 schools ! The homes are right on the street with no yard & kids playing in the street. Please do not let the developers build any more Homes in the Chapin zip code ! Thanks.

I support the petition and changes to construction requirements for more distance between houses and from roads. Also supervision of county officials to ensure compliance to regulations and stop violations being allowed.
