We the undersigned are requesting that the Holliston Town Selectmen add a question to the town ballot for the May 19, 2015 election to address whether or not additional funds should be raised through a proposition 2 1/2 % override in support of the Holliston school budget. By signing this petition we are NOT specifying an amount for the override, NOR are we advocating in favor in such an override. Simply, we are asking that the final decision be put to the taxpayers for a vote.

Put it to a vote. That is all we are asking for here.

LETS VOTE. Stop hiding these decisions from the taxpayers.

Taxes are already way to high in this town and I am sick of the constant increases without any real transparency.

The people deserve to have their say on this. Just put it on the ballot so we can decide for ourselves.

Holliston can save a great deal of money by going green, and that will help our budget woes. We are behind in this area. Also, please advocate for more funding and fair, progressive taxation in Massachusetts and on the federal level. Tax evasion, tax dodging, and regressive taxation schemes promoted by wealthy special interests (who have such great influence over legislation) are decimating local budgets. Call your representatives (feel free to contact me for information on how to do that). Thanks!

Our schools need the support. Even if people vote no at least we get to look at the numbers and choose.
