This is an extremely important Tax Credit that helps preserve our history and those wonderful old buildings that can continue to contribute to the economic recovery of Ohio!

Senator Oelslager, please support the resurgence of a great city, even though its voting record is largely supportive of the minority party in the legislature. This is about a great deal more than spiteful, small-minded partisan political bickering.

Any delay or reduction to historic tax credits will seriously impact the future of Ohio's cities. Middletown starting to revitalize its urban core, as are cities around Ohio. But revitalization depends on confidence that incentives such as the credits will remain in place. Urban projects are long, complicated, and often have greater risk than new development. The risk is mitigated by the credits. Rehabilitation of historic projects is vital to create jobs, provide services to residents and businesses, and attract tourists.

These tax credits are a vital source of financing for difficult redevelopment projects that otherwise will never happen.

I strongly oppose the planned two year suspension of the Ohio HTC program. The benefits of the program are fare in excess of the cost to the state. It is an investment the state needs to make for the long term welfare of all Ohio

please do not end this credit or even temporarily suspend it. The credit has done a great deal of good for our state and the many historic communities within it. I urge you to reconsider!

The Ohio Senate should be ashamed and embarrassed by this kind of logic.

There is no greater means of spurring urban economic development, and keeping and attracting young professionals, than to save our historic structures. Case in point: Over-the-Rhine in Cincinnnati!

As an Ohio native, I am disappointed to see the state government look to suspend the historic tax credit which has been used to preserve our historic and architectural treasures. Please reconsider your decision.
