This whole project has been heavy handledly pushed through by the good ole boys. It has no business going into the lot. There is going to have such a negative outcome for out town. We just can't afford it monetarily or environmentally. They must put a stop to this corruption.

This appeal is essential for the quality of life in Ghent.

This decision was not only out of the ordinary but outrageous. As I understand the Gingsberg project, it promises no new jobs, and will cost the people of the county plenty, and not only financially, for years to come. The Town of Ghent should not be heavy handedly forced to approve it if the citizens of the Town do not want it there.

The huge expansion of Ginsberg's at the proposed location has been a terrible idea from the get go. The community was correct in rejecting the proposal last December.

Any development that is approved should be shown to benefit and be in the best long-term interests of the citizens and community of Ghent--this plan only benefits a select few people's bank accounts.

I think that the Ginsbergs warehouse idea is a terrible plan for Claverack Ghent communities due to its size, the number of trucks it will be bringing into our already dangerous roads, the way they are not going to be contributing to the school tax base, the way they are getting loans with lower interest than anyone else would pay, and so many more reasons. I think the the CEDC, Richard Koweek, and the Claverack planning board are all corrupt (except for Virginia Ambrose) and going against the community voted comprehensive plan. Do not let them get away with this!

Ghent is right--the county's old boy network is wrong.

I paid for my property and I pay my taxes. Can't the wealthiest and most prosperous among us do the same ?

I support the Ghent Planning Board's decision and the Judge Koweek's decision is flawed. As a 34 year resident of Columbia County and former resident of Ghent I'm so tired of political shenanigans. I don't believe Ginsbergs should be getting a free ride on the backs on ordinary tax paying people.

Over-riding the determination of the Town of Ghent Planning Board does not serve the Town's residents.

When will integrity be restored? This entire story is of shameful behavior by people supposedly working in the public interest.

I live in Ghent. Our town Planning Board made a valid decision that should be upheld. For Judge Koweek to overrule the citizens of Ghent and force the town to issue permits makes a mockery of the legal process. Ginsberg's is a local business that I would like to support, but they do not have a right to build against the town's ordinance. I hope this ruling is appealed and overturned. I also support an investigation into the conflicts of interest in this project.
