I heartily endorse the Ghent Planning Board and ask them to support this appeal. This ruling is against the work of the people to make a fair and good decision for the Ghent and Columbia County.

Blatant corruption and cronyism at it's best from the bench!! Shame on you Judge!! Going against the voice of the people who have demonstrated the wrong doing of this board.. This does nothing to benefit the taxpayers of Columbia County. It hurts us financially and politically.. Gross!!

Construction of an oversized trucking facility in the middle of our beautiful rural county will lead to more commercial sprawl. The Ghent Planning Board made the right decision in the first place, and I urge the board to appeal the recent court ruling.

i live on rt 66 in ghent and already there are too many trucks from ginsburgs speeding by my house making everything shake. This is a gorgeous rural town and doesn't need to be ruined by a company with huge tax breaks and free land poisoning our air and land for the profit of a few. Shame on judge koweek , my former neighbor in Hudson, this reaks of insider old buddy networks at works.

The Ghent Planning Board did the right thing when it rejected the Ginsberg’s Foods proposal. Not only because the gargantuan facility is completely out of scale for the area, but because the proposal has been tainted from the beginning with conflicts of interest, inflated promises of benefits, and willful ignorance of very real negative impacts that would increase the bottom line of one corporation to the detriment of everyone else in the community. The Ghent Planning Board should appeal the unjust decision.

The Ghent Planning Board made a decision based on SEQRA criteria, which Ginsberg's proposal certainly violates, and it should be upheld.

I was present at most of the hearings on this decision - I felt that the Ghent Planning Board bent over backwards to give Ginsberg a fair hearing. From past planning experience (about 45 years) and attendance at many hearings of this type I feel the Ghent planning board decision to deny the project was correct.

Judge Koweek's decision sets a bad precedent with respect to sound planning decisions and the use of public monies all through the Mid-Hudson Valley and thus should be appealed.

This whole thing is very depressing. The disregard for public opinion and fair process feels criminal. He has no right holding any office.

I am sorry. Judge Koweek made the wrong decision when he determined to overrule the Ghent Planning Board's zoning code. I support any effort made to take this issue to a higher court.
