Please keep our traditions as a hunter sustainable for the future. We need to continue to conserve our natural resources by use of hunting, fishing and trapping.

It’s a shame that the ASPCA sees this event this way. We have taken most mid to small size predators out of the ecosystem. This type of event, can help balance things out.

I totally support this event and all legal outdoor activities. It blows my mind that people who are upset about this event would threaten those that support or participate it, hypocritical if you ask me. Enjoy have a great hunt and make some memories.

These people moving here trying to change our way of life is so wrong. If they want to move here they need to accept our way of life and not make the country the way they want it

This event is to bring out more young hunters in support of a American tradition (it also keeps a balance to the ecosystem). if it wasn't for these kind of events there may be more diseases among our wildlife and possibly an end to a species. This has many benefits not only to our culture but for mother nature itself. As a native american from this great state of NY, I support these kind of events. It's not like my ancestors ran down to a local supermarket and purchased their life sustaining meals. Please don't tread on our rights!

Squirrel exponential population needs a limiting factor just like any other animal who's habitat is being taken by urban sprawling. Hunting is the only cost effective way of doing that .the gray squirrel is not typically a trophy hunted animal and it is important to get the numbers down to a sustainable level,to do so this scrutinized hunt is imperil to do just that. As a bonus to regulation to a healthy squirrel population,this hunt also allows fathers,brothers,mothers,daughters, cousins,and friends to enjoy the outdoors together,to have a few laughs and some much needed quality time as covid depresses and this long winter keeps us locked in .
