Support for the ratification of the University of York Palestinian Solidarity Society
We disagree with the Societies Committee’s decision to turn down the University of York Palestinian Solidarity Society’s application for ratification, and the subsequent rejection of their appeal.
We believe the Palestinian Solidarity Society deserves its place among other societies on campus and to be given an opportunity to contribute towards student development. We believe the society will provide a forum for informed discussion, as well as a valuable means of collaboration between different groups and societies on campus.
We support the formal ratification of the University of York Palestinian Solidarity Society, and request that YUSU reconsider its decision.

It is honestly so frustrating to see such an important conversation being shut down like this. Sort it out.
Ridiculous decision. Students should be able to discuss whatever they want on campus.
Just let them be part of the uni. Everyone else gets a voice why are they being blocked??
Let them have their society. Free speech shouldn't stop at the committee office door.

yusu needs to get a grip. silencing students isnt what a uni is for.
