this is such a classic of the neighborhood it deserves to remain--to keep Little Italy really Little Italy. Please official recognize 181-189 Grand Street the landmark it truly is.

Little Italy has already shrunk so much since i moved to Soho in 1979. Taken over by boutiques east of Broadway and by the encroachment of Chinatown from the south. Let's save what is left of this important part of the City. There are enough ugly condo towers...

Stop unfettered development at the expense of our heritage

NYC is losing the character of the neighborhoods that made it great. Please keep NYC interesting and respect its rich history.

A tragedy in the making. Save this building

I was born , raised and live in NyC a few blocks from this building. My father was born in this neighborhood also and I remember r that building from when I was a child. It is exactly these types of buildings with their proud heritage that gives downtown manhattan its character. Why in the world would anyone want to destroy that which can never be replaced with something of nearly equal value. I am in full support of renovating the structure with the preservation of its original architectural design and materials. If the goal here is to demolish and build new why don't we redirect the developers to canal street which remains to this day a disgraceful collection of street vendors breaking the law and selling counterfeit products. Use eminent domain to reclaim those building and redevelop the landscape of canal street to make it a shopping district that NyC can be proud of.

Friends of Petrosino Square has already provided a strong letter urging Chairman Tierney to call a public hearing on the Banca Stabile row house. Did you know that over a hundred years ago Little Italy extended all the way to the west side of Lafayette Street at Spring Street, which is now SoHo? Let's have no more shrinkage of Little Italy, and let's not stand by while one its most significant treasures, a set of buildings steeped in Italian-American cultural history, is taken down by market interests.

Save the Branca Stabile Row at 181-189 Grand Street in NYC

Don't continue to destroy the social, cultural and architectural history of this iconic city. The story of New York City is the story of the American idea at its best. Leave something for the next generations to contemplate and understand.

it's amazing to me that anyone would look at this row of buildings and not want it preserved.
