Taylor is a wonderful 7-year-old, with a great sense of humour, and has a great character! When he was 4 years old he had a brain tumour which was successfully removed, but he had to undergo gruelling chemotherapy treatment following surgery. Whilst he is physically much better, and is free of the cancer right now, he also has some hearing loss and has now developed cataracts as a result of the treatment. Taylor has had 1:1 support since Reception class in primary school. He is currently in year 2 and still needs the support. Unfortunately, Taylor's family and school were informed earlier this year that his funding for his 1:1 support will be revoked at the end of March. There have been two appeals against this decision, but both have been turned down! As a result Taylor will no longer receive personal support at school - and without it he will be unable to cope and access the curriculum satisfactorily. His education is at stake, and neither Taylor or his family deserve this! I am appealing for as many signatories as possible to sign this petition to get his funding reinstated and so enable him to have an education, with the support he desperately needs, and to which he is entitled! Thank you in anticipation!
