It astounds me that somebody believes this to be a remedy for the situation, when empirical evidence suggests Susan is an exemplary employee with a proven and reliable history that cannot be ignored.

According to officers she is in contact with on a daily basis and so many citizens Sue Redd is an asset to the community she has served for 20 years. In business and in civil service progressive discipline should always be applied. Termination should not be the only consideration in this matter.

If this is the first time she made a mistake then for crying out loud give her a reprimand and let it be. I am sure she learned from that

Sue is one of the best dispatchers out there. It would be a shame to throw away all of her talents and service to the citizens of San Juan County for one mistake.

I don't agree with the Sheriff's decision. She doesn't deserve this kind of treatment.

Sounds like the dispatcher did her job and reported the break in to the police. That was her job, police not responding is not her responsibly.

Any officer I have ever met that has worked in San Juan county has always been friendly to me because Sue is my Mom. They often have commented on what a great Job my Mom has done working dispatch for them. She is a great lady who has done a great job for many many years. I know this has been really hard on her and I support her full heartedly!

Having worked for San Juan County in the communications dept. for 20 years, and associating with Sue, if I were in trouble Sue's voice is the one I would want to hear on the other end of the line. Have those who would be so quick to dismiss her, never made a mistake themselves? Her wealth of knowledge and experience far outweigh her mistake and cannot be replaced, it would take years to replace her knowledge, skills, experience, and talents.
Wishing you the Best Sue

Sue is amazing! She does an excellent job and has brought comfort to many. She was who did the "Last Call" for my Dad at his funeral and I can only imagine how hard that had to have been but she did a beautiful job and because of her strength in that Last Call, it have giving me a comforting strength of my own.
In support of Sue.
