Support for our D39 School Board

I fully support our board members in their efforts to keep ALL of our community members safe!

As a parent of 3 D39 graduates I value that the board protects all students, faculty and staff and will not be swayed by threats and outside forces politicizing a crucial public health issue.

I am the parent of 2 current D39 students. I truly appreciate that the School Board members are doing their best to help navigate our schools through this pandemic. My kids are happy to be back in school this year, so I appreciate your efforts to keep our schools open.

Thanks to the District 39 Board for all you do!

Today’s “protest” in Wilmette, organized by political operatives, was a sad moment for our community. I support the board of education and appreciate their efforts and resolve to keep children and our community safe.

I am the parent of 2 D39 alumni and a Wilmette resident. Thank you for keeping schools open this year and for continuing to support all students with equal access to their education.

I am signing to support the school board as they navigate the challenges that have arisen during this pandemic. The threats to our children, our teachers, our staff and our community are still ongoing and are always changing, as are the recommendations and protocols. I so appreciate the difficulty of this situation, making difficult decisions that are in the best interest of everyone involved, and in doing so being challenged constantly by some vocal people who would rather focus on their own children than consider the safety of all. I thank the board for taking the time to wade deeply into the issues, and the science in an effort to keep everyone safe.
