Melanie is one of the most beautiful people I have ever had the pleasure of knowing...as much on the inside as on the outside. I see comments on her page all of the time from students complimenting and thanking her. I don't even know what is going on here, but I can honestly say she is a wonderful person who was always kind hearted and still to this day, has that big smile on her face. God is watching over the situation, whatever it is, and I know she will continue to shine for the many students who have loved and appreciated her.

Ms. Lemon was my 6th grade teacher and really was a bright light in my life as well as all of my classmates. The success we all have in life now is due to the dedication, patience and love that a teacher like Ms. Lemon gave to us. Any school would be lucky to have her as a faculty member.

Can someone please PLEASE explain to me how the hell pulling a student out of class child abuse???? And I can guarantee you that this whole situation is being blown out of preparation because the child is mad at the teacher for pulling him out of class and just over exaggerated the situation to the parents to get back at the her for pulling him out of class. This is absurd *glove smack* but fr tho y'all need to calm down, please and thank you ;).

I couldn't agree more with the comment regarding parent bashing. In our situation, when a simple apology would have sufficed, Melanie took it upon herself to rally her supporters and discuss my child's situation in the halls in front of other children, discussing only what the parents had done to her, not what she had done to the parents. In no way, should she be discussing the details via email and gossiping with anyone other than the parties involved. It is very unprofessional. If you don't know both sides of the story, please keep the comments to yourselves regarding the parents. Because, after all, it is all about the children. These parents, as well as countless formal complaints from other families throughout the years have been devastated and have had to make life changes because their children no longer can attend Walnut Grove because they have been tagged as problem families. Although I believe Melanie has a good heart in her love for teaching children, when backed against the wall with situations that arise, she does not handle them in a mature, professional manner. It becomes about protecting herself rather than how can we fix this situation so that the least number of people are damaged, including herself.

I have known Melanie many years and being an educator myself, am disgusted by what she is going through! It's difficult enough to get and keep great teachers. It's sounds as if that particular county needs to look into cleaning up their administration! Good luck Melanie. We love you!!!

It's a shame a wonderful kind and faithful servant to our community is being treated like this. May truth and common sense prevail.
