Almost this exact same thing happened to me! Administration has all the power, and this is way more common than people know. I questioned my principal as to why some people were held to different standards than others, and he very smugly informed me that he didn't have to answer that question. It is time for people to stand up to this type of bullying!

I've trusted Melanie with my kids for 12 years. My family needs her family in our lives, and thank you for being a great role model.

Good teachers are hard to find! Evidently in Williamson County good administration is even harder to find! Bedford county will take ya!

She was my student teacher in 7th grade and I knew back then she would be an awesome teacher! She had a kind heart and sweet soul! We need more teachers like her!

I am a previous WCS employee, and this article does not surprise me in the least. I support Melanie based on my previous experiences with the district.

Sad story from a husband of a wife who has also had her fair share of undeserved mistreatment from her school. You deserve better, Ms Lemon!

Students need her. Her image should not be tarnished. She needs to make a living as well. May the good lord bless her abundantly.

Keep your head up! I know EXACTLY how you feel. I used to think WCS was the place to teach until my experience at Spring Station. It is really tough to fully know and understand why people in power act as they do towards others, but in general I would say that the bullying actions of adults, sometimes defined as manipulation, are not all that different from how and why kids do it. When you think about it, it's almost like a game of survival and unfortunately all too often the thirst for power and control over others affects the truly good people. This then perpetuates the process further where the victims that succumb and survive later learn to victimize others. All I can say is that what goes around comes around and eventually both sides get what they deserve.
