As the 88th AT to receive licensure in Maryland when it went through and employed through a PT clinic, I was restricted in applying my full skill set to our patients even though I could when I drove down the street and worked on the same injuries at the University. This should be amended!

Maryland needs more athletic trainer coverage at all school levels, especially high school. I fear for my teams when they play Maryland schools that there is no medical coverage at high school games and that is concerning.

I do sports medicine and orthopedic surgery. As a fellow ATC, these folks are highly trained professionals and should absolutely have more access to the public.

Not allowing ATCs to do their job to their full capabilities leaves a viable option for affordable health care on the table... For no good reason.
