Athletic training should be about the injuries and conditions we can treat and the population, not the setting. I think dental hygienists are the only other practitioners limited by setting...we have the same issue in NY. Best wishes on your campaign!

Professional athletic trainers should be able to put patients first, I support this legislation to strengthen their ability to provide support for their patients.

I completely support this petition, accessibility to athletic trainers makes a huge impact for those that engage in athletics casually.

I support these legislative changes to bring Athletic Trainers employed in Maryland in line with the scope of practice allowed in surrounding states for these healthcare professionals.

Athletic Trainers are a valuable human resource to our Nation's Healthcare System which is in need of motivated highly skilled practitioners. Change the State Laws so these folks can take their skills beyond the athletic fields. We need more hands-on practitioners to meet the needs of our citizens!

I am in full support of these legislative efforts by the MATA. I have been working the last 15 years in this state and it is time to update the current practice act to reflect the current state of affairs for athletic trainers.

I fully support the MATA in their commitment to this necessary amendment which would afford the athletic training students clinical opportunities that aspiring clinicians in other athletic training programs already have. I welcome any questions about the athletic training curriculum and I thank you in advance for your attention to this.

Athletic trainers are a phenomenal asset to all physically active people, not just "athletes"

As a dual credentialed professional I want to lend my support to athletic trainers in the state of Maryland being able to practice at the top of their license as well as to the depth of their professional preparation.

The changes Maryland is seeking is to bring them up to the national standard of care. As the District Director that oversees six states, including Maryland, I am HIGHLY supportive of this change to remove restrictions
