This is happening throughout the public school system, but now it is happening in the private system it really raises questions about what's going on. Why are schools and school bureaucracies so awful at consulting and communicating? Why are they making these decisions against the wishes of parents? Why are they choosing more expensive services that place a significant financial burden on parents - and how can that be considered an economic gain? All I can think is that the bigger OOSHs are paying more for the right to operate. What other driver is there?

I am so very angry that this blanket decision has been made. I have been using OOSH regularly for both my children since Kindergarten and I, along with countless other families have built such strong relationships with the wonderful staff that look after them morning and afternoon. They know our kids, they care about them and our kids love them and enjoy their time there. This decision seems to be about ‘the bottom line’ without any consideration that they are destroying a small business that has been established in our community for many years. Christian values have gone out the window here. Please let’ us keep our OOSH!

I have two children currently attending school at St Joseph's. While we don't currently need OOSH it is important that we have an option should the need arise. I would not hesitate to use KCA's OOSH as l know that other parents think very highly of them and on many occasions they have gone above and beyond. Their flexibility, for example when the school changed their pupil free day in December, is a great testament to their willingness to help and support the school community, even when their continuing involvement was under a cloud.

I am not a parent at this school but I am a parent at 2 other catholic schools with OOSH attached. I do not like how the Diocese made a unilateral decision without consultation. We know nothing about St Nicholas and are happy with our current services. I would understand if St Nicholas replaced services at schools where there were issues but to do a blanket switch out is unacceptable.

This is a rediculous situation and very unfair to many families in the area especially the people that have cared for these children up until now! Especially just before Christmas and the holidays!! Shame on you!
