A disappointing and un-Catholic move once again by the new look Diocese since its restructure and under the charge of the CEO, Sean Scanlon. These church representatives should be ashamed of their corporate approach in dealing with Bishop William Wright's flock. No respect for the dignity of the human person. Shame!

I am both shocked and disgusted at the way in which this decision has been made. The lack of consultation with families, and lack of clarity around the decision making process is appalling.
That the diocese would put families in a position like this a few weeks out from end of term is disgraceful. Where is the care and regard for families right before Christmas. People rely on this service. To be left without any security around vacation care options over the Christmas break and uncertainty around what care will look like in 2020 is just awful for families. It really makes me question the diocese and how comfortable I am to be a part of an organisation who would have so little regard for its community.

This is very sad. I thought the Catholic Diocese would be more mindful of the negative effects of this change on so many people. Hopefully kind heartedness and common sense wins.

I support parents who are unfairly placed in a position regarding having no oosh for their children! Horrible situation to be out in for full time working parents!

My granddaughter need quality care which she has been receiving from connect kids. My daughter needs peace of mind that there will be quality childcare available to her as a working mum. This needs to be for a long period of the day from early morning till 6 at night and school holidays.

KCA is integral to the St Joesphs community, provides far more than “Compliance with national regulations” and has built a strong level of trust based on clear and transparent communication.
The communication received by KCA and the St Joesphs school community from St Nicolas OOSH lacks empathy and understanding. It does not reflect best practice, working in partnership with families, nor engagement in quality experiences which St Nicolas OOSH claim to form part of their philosophy.
This petition has been created in support of retaining KCA services.
We ask the disoces engage with the school community and hear our voices to understand how important KCA is to all who use their services. The lack of consultation and transition planning is beyond comprehension and demonstrates St Nicolas OOSH is far from ready to take a leadership role in the care of our children.

What else is the Diocese not telling us about? Why is there no pellucidity? I'm reconsidering not only my children's OOSH providers but also their schooling. I doubt this would happen down the road at Newcastle Grammar.

How ironic that the company named after the patron saint of children is failing to provide a safe and accessible childcare for our children. I guess St Nicholas really does believe in giving gifts, the gift of an absence of adequate before and after school care for our children. The worst part is how poorly this has been handled by our school and principal who have offered absolutely nothing in the way of communication or transparency. #karenout #KCAheretostay
