I strongly feel that Jacob deserves the opportunity to follow his dreams as he wants to join the military. The whole point of the justice system is to put people on the right path and I’ve been with Jacob throughout the journey of his accomplishments and I feel he is definitely 100% on the right path.

I have known Jacob for four years now and have seen him make great strides to turn his life around from where he was at 18. I fully believe his intentions to join the CAF and think he will be a great asset to them. I belive he has paid his debt to society and has learned from his mistakes and would pose no threat to society if his weapons ban were lifted. It would be a shame if his mistakes as a teenager held him back from reaching his full potential as an adult.

Jacob is someone I met early into my martial arts journey. His patience and never quit attitude is something you rarely see. During the time I spent doing 5:00am training sessions id show up and Jacob would already be warmed up, with an positive attitude ready to conquer the workout and the rest of the day. It would be an absolute shame if Jacob wasn’t able to join the Canadian armed forces. He is cut from a cloth that many aspire to be.

I have known Jacob for 22 years. Life threw at him numerous challenges.
He has become an amazing young man of high ethics, strength of character, grits and perseverance.
I have full confidence that he will do well in the career he's envisioning.

I know Jacob, I am his mother, he has grown greatly, he is dedicated and hard working and has learned from past mistakes and when he is passionate about something, he whole heartedly commits to it! The army would benefit from his drive, determination and commitment to bettering himself!

Jacob has proved that adolescent choices do not define a human. If everyone in the world had a fraction of the dedication and perseverance as my brother we would do great things. I fully support his next steps in achieving his goals.
