Burien has grown in so many positive ways since we moved here 30 years ago. Please keep our city free of crime and support our wonderful small business community.

Dan is right on. The Council is failing as servants of Burien. They choose to first serve bad ideology, and Burien suffers as a result.

I agree with Dan! And, shame on the City Council for inviting Food Trucks to be in direct competition with our local restaurants that have been struggling this past year - SHAME ON YOU!!!
And, we must entice good businesses, resulting in the increased value of our community, NOT building a homeless housing development.

We witness businesses being harassed every time we go to downtown Burien. The City worked so hard to grow and attract businesses and it will go back to vacant buildings if this continues. The City Council needs to start serving our City instead of trying to follow Seattle.

I, and others, have experienced slow or no police response for (non-emergency) prowlers, suspicious activity in our neighborhoods, all over Burien. My neighbor came home at 4:00 p.m. to find her door had been kicked in, and waited outside while calling 911.. An officer finally showed up at shortly after 10 p.m. (She had friends come clear the apt. and secure the door. A police report is required for insurance to cover repairs!) Seems another robbery elsewhere that same afternoon kept them all too busy for six hours! Business break-ins happening nearby on 153rd too. Yes - we need more officers on duty at all hours!! At least one designated to stay available for non-emergency calls when needed.

We need to stand with our local business & we also need to get rid of the people on the city councel. They have done nothing but give them selves raises & run our beautiful town into the ground

My sister owns a small business in Old Town Burien. The store was broken into last year! These small businesses need support, what say you? It’s hard enough to stay afloat with the pandemic the last thing these small businesses need is to be victimized and fall into the hands of thief’s and vandalism. You were elected by the people, use your platform and support the fine citizens of your city!

I completely agree with Dan and other concerned business owners that are, quite frankly, struggling to keep their doors open already.
