The Burien City Council is out of touch with the Burien residents and Burien businesses.Several of the council members have their own personal agendas for why they are doing some of this junk but it is not because they are representing Burien residents or what is best for the city. They need to be voted out of office or they need to resign. Pedro should have been gone months ago. If he had any honor, he would have resigned. These council members desperately want to be just like Seattle. Crime is increasing in Burien and the residents and businesses know when they are getting ripped off. The data reported in the police study files is clearly under-reported.This DESC homeless housing will bring more illegal drugs and drug dealers into the city. Everywhere in Seattle where one of these DESC places is put in, crime goes up. Danny, thank you for speaking out. We need your voice.

Thank you Danny for writing this letter and putting this petition. The current council cares nothing about businesses' and residents' safety. They are a soulless lot who are hoping someone will move them up the political ladder and they will sell the city out for political gain.Safety and not allowing liberal dangerous drug use policies into the city should be job #1 for these council members. Our police need to be supported by all the council members.

We need to stop! We need to support our local businesses, and make our city/community a place people want to support and visit. NOT a place people want to avoid because of all the homeless lying in doorways of the local businesses and harrassing individuals! I have lived in Burien for over 65 years and enjoyed it very much. I’ve always felt safe and never thought twice about “ should I or shouldn’t I” go to certain areas in this community, until now, We need to protect and support our city and that DOES NOT include taking care of those who prefer to use drugs and alcohol !! In turn , we need to support our police and allow them to do the job they wete hired to do - protect us and keep our community safe!

Prioritize and protect existing Burien restaurants. No food trucks.

I grew up in Burien, I left for 20 years and have returned. I was excited to move back to my nice clean, safe community. I’m sorry to say it is not a safe neighborhood to raise your children or be out after dark. The businesses in Burien have had a hard enough time keeping open during this Covid pandemic we need to support our local businesses. We do not need to bring in food trucks that require parking, port-a potty’s, seating, more garbage on the streets and a place for the homeless to make a home. Burien is not safe I’m sorry to say we are looking to move out of Burien.

Cops are necessary to keep our society functioning properly. The radicalness of this council is shocking. SHOCKING. Some of the CMs, and their connection to the budget and therefore our police, truly have no business being there, if promoting public safety is a core function of their job. Support our businesses, families and our safety by funding more Deputies.

We elect Council members to look to the well being of our community, not just to champion their own interests/causes. Public safety should be of major concern to them all. If they can't get the job done we need to vote in candidates that will. The health and well being of our community is at stake. Without tax paying businesses and individuals, who will leave if the environment does not improve, the situation will only get worse.

One pillar of a thriving city and arguably the greatest, is its safety. Businesses create opportunities for all of us to be a community, together. Let's make it appealing to others that are thinking about starting up a new business and keep the ones that we have. I’d follow Dan House anywhere.

Tired of the Burien City Counsel. Food trucks to take business away from our restaurants. Allowing 2 large facilities to build for container storage, Build a DESC here when we already have a homeless issues, vagrants, thief in neighborhood, Burien has gang issues. Police force is at minimum. Everyone of city council should be fired! you are not for this city at all. Shame on you the council! Lived here 16 yrs. Oh by the Quiet Sky’s won our suit with FAA, but they have ignored the verdict & planes still fly over our house daily. I stand with Dan House & all the business! Oh & tore down the building housing our only live theatrical center.

Public safety is job number one for Burien city government. More policing, and leave charity work to Churches and private citizens.

Our business owners need support from our community. They have re-energized Burien and we don’t want it to go backwards now.
