I have lived in Farnham since I was 3 and was lucky enough to go to the cinema and theatre. It is such a shame that this area has been derelict for so long. The youth need a cinema and the shops would benefit Farnham so much.

Fed up with all those unaffordable boutiques and charity shops! We need shops such as Next, New Look, H&M, Marks&Spencers, a Cinema would be nice too, fed up with trips to Aldershot and Guilford, let's revamp Farnham a little, not just for us but for our next generation!

There are so many shops and small businesses closing in Farnham the economic life of the Town is in danger of extinction. With all the new housing proposed we also have a duty to provide a modern, safe and thriving Town Centre for those that choose to live in the surrounding area; particularly those with young families. To prevent this development would be to ignore the reality of the situation and perpetuate the so called 'NIMBY' attitude. I do agree that the architectural appearance of the new development must be in keeping with the character of the town but other developments - most notably the one on the site of the former Police Station show that this can be done easily if sufficient care and thought is applied.

This site has been an eyesore for so long, a scheme that brings much needed facilities must not be blocked by the objections of a few.

This area of town is seriously neglected and this project will not only transform it, it will increase trade across the rest of Farnham and the surrounding areas!

I strongly believe this scheme is needed to regenerate a derelict, unsightly and failing part of town. It will also provide much needed facilities to Farnham and enable us to keep income within the town rather than travelling and spending money in other nearby towns.

Leaving the area as it has been for so many years is simply unacceptable.
