Oppose Everett Middle School as Authorized Encampment

Horrible idea, the neighborhood has enough crime and break ins as it is!

This is a harebrained idea, to use educational space for children to housed the homeless, with their drugs, bugs, mess, poor sanitary habits, and frequent disregard of the law. We need to keep our children safe, not have their school a wreck when they come back!

To start, I am surprised that our Supervisor and it’s posse choose a parking lot over Mission High football field, with showers bathroom right in the school. Mission High is not opening anytime soon.

I live one block away from Everett and am opposed to the safe sleeping site there.

I live across Everett and oppose having a "Safe Sleeping Sites" in my block. We had a burglary in our garage, we lost thousands of Dollars in tools. We wake up every morning to human feces, drug deals, prostitution and garbage. My roommate, who is a nurse, is harassed when she comes home from work. She can't sleep at night with all the screams and criminal activity outside our door. My mom is a senior citizen and she does not feel safe with the traffic of homeless people 24 hours in our block. Placing them inside the school will only make it worst! We pay taxes here and we do not want to be around a homeless encampment. Please find a better place suitable for this

Find someplace where kids will not be going to school! City park Kezar Stadium.

The school that may open in July should not be used.

The need for a solution for the city's growing homeless population is clear. However, putting a site at a school risks jeopardizing the future safety of school children and educators, as behavior surrounding the site is likely to persist well beyond whatever temporary time frame is being considered. The city should focus on sites that can promote long-term safety and services for any residents of the encampment and also considers the safety of the community.

schools are an inappropriate location to set up a sanctioned homeless encampment, it sends the wrong message.

Schools are for learning not housing the homeless and their many issues. Schools should absolutely be OFF LIMITS. The city is failing tremendously.

Use the Empty warehouses and lease from the Landlords

Please, please put our children first!

SF has many other places to use why Sf DOESN'T CARE citizens safety the CRIME has increased to high level to the point that is dangerous to walk around and everywhere .we also are not safe inside our home or building.

With no plan in place to move the campers once school starts - or to deal with those campers waiting for a place once the camp is full and will spill out into my neighborhood, please don’t consider this at Everett!

Not a good choice considering the children who will be coming back. Long term unused spaces should be utilized.

School are totally unacceptable sites on a short term or long term basis. San Francisco to act in a more thoughtful and intelligent manner for all concerned!

Where are any long term plans?

Not in our parks either!!!
