The relationships built between students and staff are crucial for our Title I students' success. Potomac View's community deserves to maintain those relationships by transitioning to the new school together.

I also think Potomac View building should be saved and turned into an all pre K school like Washington Reed.

Please consider this petition! These children have memories and many victories in this school. Teachers and family are committed to working with these students. The closure of this school could impact their future because of the drastic change from one place to another! Please reconsider

I am a former student of Potomac View and so are all my siblings. My mother worked at Potomac View for years. One of my siblings is currently teaching at Potomac View. The students, teachers, and surrounding community of PVES deserve the absolute BEST and nothing less.

Please keep the students and teachers together. Keep the important continuity as much as possible. This is hard for the students and the teachers that grew to love them.

I am signing because this policy is a gross display of inequity toward the dedicated Title I staff at Potomac View Elementary. To subject them to a disruptive reapplication process while staff at Occoquan Elementary face no such hurdle is inconsistent, unfair, and damages morale. Our children deserve stability, and our experienced educators deserve consistency. Reverse this decision.

I’m shocked at the lack of care for the people that serve the children. This community fully deserves respect. The teachers deserve the utmost support in maintaining their role with this community.

I taught there for 20 years and it is a very special group of students that need to be supported by familiar faces. Please allow the teachers who want to continue with students to do so.
