Support community-based services for individuals with developmental disabilities

Please keep in mind that these services are essential and not entitlements,

Please put developmental center closure fund savings back into desperately needed community services.

Special needs people require the most support, funding, and opportunity for possibilities in their lives. It will be totally inhumane and brutal to deny them funding for Regional Centers and the Lanterman Act. If you can't understand this, I invite you for only one day in the life of a parent with 3 special needs children. Please do not leave us alone and ensure the appropriate funding required for special needs programs. Thank you!

Individuals with developmental disabilities have a right to services and supports to help live the most independent and productive life possible.

It's vitally important to support the vulnerable population of people with development disabilities. Please continue to provide them with the services they need.

We need the money to stay in the system, they need as much help they can get

When a child is born with disabilities, the family is given a responsibility to protect as well as offer services that will enhance the child's well-being. Parents need the support of government funded organizations for this daunting responsibility. Please use this money wisely and use it to support community outreach programs for people with disabilities.

Please continue to support people with developmental disabilities by providing them the much needed services.

We need these saving in order to continue providing services to those in need.

The Regional Center System has been funded using a calculation formula based on the 70's which we have also been trying to correct. Our consumer numbers are rising monthly as well. Group homes are closing as well. Monthly rent costs are prohibitive for our consumers. The system needs more workers and funding. Thank you.

The $ saved from closure of the state developmental centers must stay in the system for I/DD community services.

please continue to fully fund the Lanterman Act; developmental disabilities can strike any family-poor or rich, black or white. Please fund our VULNERABLE populations.
