People with disabilities must be included in the community to achieve their full potential with assistance. They enrich the community & remind the world what is really of great value & importance.

The state's disability services system is already underfunded. To strip away any of its current funding would be immoral.

Please ensure that the savings from the Developmental Centers closure goes back into supporting the Lanterman Act and regional centers.

My son & daughter will be among the affected citizens that will continue to need developmental services, especially when my husband and I are not longer available to help them. These funds need to be directed to the General Fund to help these people with developmental disabilities.

My son will be one of these citizens who need comprehensive community supports to survive, when we - his parents - are unable to care for him. Please keep this funding earmarked for this community. They need it.

I urge you to reconsider your course as world organization says the adult disabled population will be replaced by children with Autism 1:5 by 2024. I can only imagine those facts are available to you at the ready. Today, us...tomorrow your family. We must all be united in the stripping away of right for society's most vulnerable. Community based is just wrong since all community are not structured with similar services and support systems. Take a stand. Do it Now!

Funds designated to the Developments Centers should follow the clints into the community ID/DD system. Please help us create quality services.

Don't undermine or underfund programs for our developmentally disabled children and adults! Sustain and improve funding for our community-based programs!

There are potential consumers sitting at home now because vendors cannot support them. The system needs this support or more individuals with developmental disabilities will not receive services.

The money should NOT go into the General Fund. Without the funds following the person into the community the quality and availability of supports will suffer.

Hello, I have worked within the DD Service System for over 20 years now and have seen and continue to see how underfunding creates an inadequate system for those who access it. Additionally, since the enactment of the Lanterman Act, we have seen California go from being at the forefront of prioritizing quality services to being one of our nations most negligent because of funding freezes and cuts. Devoting the money that will be saved from the antiquated and inhumane developmental centers back into our DD Service System is the only fair solution and will demonstrate that our state legislators are committed in helping California once again be an example to others. Thank you, Brett Miller The Arc San Francisco

I have an adult son who works to support himself. I would hate to have him loose his job couch. Please vote for rate increases for service providers for our disabled! Please!

Please do the right thing and place the funding where it belongs - back into supporting individuals with development disabilities. These funds DO NOT belong in the General Fund.

The funds not spent on the centers must be redirected to support the community-based operations. These peoples lives matter.
