Regional Center services are so important to families with developmental disability needs. The resource available give persons with disabilities the chance to live a normal and fulfilling life with dignity and respect.

Please, we fought so hard to get the recent additions to our budget for DDS just to barely keep our heads above water; we need continued funding to maintain this at a minimum. The savings from the DC closures could ensure our community based services can survive and thrive.

Please direct the savings in a self-sustaining mechanism of income for community-based developmental disability services and the Lanterman Act!

Funding is SO important for our disabled Californianians!!! Many families (like ours) struggle to provide services for our children, yet we pay so much in taxes.

The services to people with developmental disabilities are so critical the savings from closing down the developmental center's not only could be used to provide services for those coming out of developmental centers but also in my view can be used to bring services back that we lost eight years ago back in 2009 like horseback riding social recreation more hours for Independent living You can put clients and their direct service providers back and charge instead of some pencil pusher sitting at a desk somewhere else in an office or even some lawn Forssman pig this money does not belong in the general fund to help with the general fund

On the bill will save money however the savings must go into a self sustaining mechanism of income for community based developmental disability services and the Lanterman Act

This vulnerable population needs to have sustainable services for community base providers -- it only makes sense to retain the funding within the system of support!

In simple terms, this makes sense. Please support community-based programs with the funding previously dedicated to the Developmental Centers.
