We must preserve California's commitment to those born with an intellectual/developmental disability. I fully support and encourage that the funds from the closing of Developmental Centers are used to support services provided in community-based settings.

Please direct funds saved by closing Developmental Centers back into funding services from the Lanterman Act. Sarah Doering

I think all the all the Development Centers should be closed and it should be close and they should live in the community because hopefully they are very smart if they get a chance to make something in their life

As an older, retired parent of a profoundly disabled son who still lives at home, I am worried about what will happen to my son once I can longer physically care for him. This would be a step in the right direction toward providing secure funding for services for the disabled.

It is critical that the State adequately fund the regional centers so that people with developmental disabilities will continue to receive appropriate services and support under the Lanterman Act. These savings must go back into the system!

We need to continue advocating for those who cannot advocate for themselves.

I support transfer of Developmental Center funding to support Community programs funding in the I/DD system. Community programs are severely underfunded, and they have no Union support in Sacramento to advocate for them. Don't let them get lost in the crowd. #SaveOurServices #KeepThePromise

This money should stay in the DDS system. It's only right.

Please keep this important funding for the developmental disabled, and not let it be used for the general fund.

The savings from the closures should not go into the general fund. They should be used to help to provide community based services for the developmentally disabled

If we do not take care of these people, they will end up on the street!

We need strengthen our support for people who have special challenges and for their families. If we are to lift ourselves up as just and caring society this is the minimum response we should make. I hope we can beyond that and decide to go further by choosing an even more generous option.

Don't let the developmentally disabled lose their support from the government and the community.
