The Lanternman Act as well as Regional Centers need monetary reinforcement. Don't put the monies saved from the closing of Developmental Centers must go back into community based services.

It would be great to put some of these politician in the shoes of some of these disabled members of society to see how much the need is to have services funded. The politicians are elected to serve their constituents to their best interest not of their own.

There are still tens of thousands of individuals with developmental disabilities who are aging--not unlike those of us without D.D.'s!--who will need more assistance as they age. And all of us have increasing cost of living!
