Psychologists, Mental Health Providers & General Public Support of RxP for Psychologists

I earned a MS in Clinical Psychopharmacology and would be a prescriber if Colorado grants the authority.

Colorado should be leading the way with innovative efforts to improve mental health care access!

Psychologists receive 5-7 years of post-undergraduate training prior to graduation with doctoral degrees. Adding a Master's in pharmacology would make us the most prepared prescribers available.

I support prescribing privilege for psychologists in CO

I believe strongly that Ph.D. professionals should have prescription privileges. Currently, the mental health needs are quite significant in our country, so any additional help we can provide the professionals in our health care system, the better. Clinical training for prescription privileges can easily be provided to interested individuals, and necessary regulations can be put in place to protect clients/patients, all of which would be tremendously effective in alleviating some of the strain on our mental health systems.

A needed service to the mental health community! Psychologist make excellent perscribers with their additional training.

For many reasons, but most importantly to make treatment affordable. Psychologists certified in this therapy should be able to prescribe psychedelics for treatment.

Present unprecedented demand for for mental health professionals as well as insufficient numbers of prescribing professional underscores the pressing need for passage of prescription privileges for qualified psychologist's.

Psychiatrists can not meet all the mental health needs. Supporting psychology for prescription privileges will help meet the needs

As a licensed psychologist who understands the profound shortage of mental health professionals, including psychiatrists I strong support prescription privileges for psychologists to help improve access to care.

The delay in implementation of prescriptive privileges remains a black mark for the AMA and physicians in general. It is nothing more than an effort to protect their market.

This is a CRITICAL need that will improve overall healthcare! I wholeheartedly support RxP.

We NEED more access to providers who can accurately prescribe medications. Idaho passed this legislation and they saw a drastic decline in suicide rates during the pandemic!!
