Healthcare is not a one size fits all. Choice is important regardless of the individual's reasons. They know what is right for them.

Do not let this become a monopoly; look what happened with the Epi Pen debacle..let those who need it have a safe product to sustain their life with.

The population who have to struggle with conditions requiring a feeding tube need the safety and security.

I wish to get the vented tube and not ones with the Enfit so I can blend my own foods and use the FIFO bottle, its a much healthier option long term.

I support the freedom to chose the type of tube I get, as a blender I cant use the Enfit tubes and rely on getting the vented tube so I can blend my own food and use the FIFO bottle.

For those who have limited use of their hands, or issues with fine motor control, screwing the ENFit connector together is virtually impossible!
I personally use blended food rather than formula for my bolus fed meals, and am disheartened that yet another hurdle may be coming my way. The last thing we, as tube fed individuals need, is to have things become even more difficult when it comes to getting optimal nutrition and remaining independent.

Do not mandate another poorly thought out tube feeding "appliance". People who have learned and adjusted their feedings to meet their nutritional needs have an essential voice in this suggested new product . How could Medicare/Medicaid get taken in and be mandated to use this product. Needs some critical thinking from FDA, HHS etc etc.

Why don't you ask the people who use it for there opinion before you go changing things. Many people will not be able to use the new one

It is vitally important to allow choice of established feeding tubes that serve those who have become dependent on a particular feeding tube that fits their needs. How can a 'committee' begin to know the needs of these very unique and special patients who have suffered to find a means to survive? A committee without such knowledge should never be given the authority to dictate the health and well-being of what has been painfully developed and relied upon by patients relying on established equipment and special techniques for their survival.

Cannot imagine how UNDERSERVED the actual REAL people who live 24/7 w/tube must feel when "committee" members decide for others! The actual word, committee, these days should make all concerned citizens DOUBT the real goals behind decisions like this.
