Why would you try to fix something that isn’t broken and has been working!

If it ain't broke, don't fix it. Have been a Tubie for just over a year now, still adjusting to the new lifestyle and doing some blenderized foods. Don't want to give that up.

Misconnections have been prevented since 2006 when NeoChild implemented the only patented safety, enteral feeding system on the market (US 8,292,875). This system has never led to a misconnection and has been market proven for the last 12 years and is ISO 80369-1 compliant. The ISO 80369-3 standard does prevent misconnections, but this is not the point since systems already exist that do this. On top of this ISO 80369-3, presents several issues including collection of bacteria and dosing issues.
The ENFit movement and GEDSA committee need to be stopped before patient safety is put to risk by greed and economic institutions.

I at real food for 68 years before getting a g-tube. Plan to keep ingesting real food. ENFit will not allow that; a choice MUST exist.

My daughter Bonnie eats real food through the tube and the ENFit does not work with her blend. Keep her healthy by getting rid of ENFit.

My son is fed a blended diet (some homemade, some purchased through the DME,) but it is too thick to go through the new connectors. We need to keep access to what works for him. He has Cystic Fibrosis and is 100% tube-fed and is finally gaining appropriate weight on this diet!

I support the right of choice of enteral feeding connectors to be preserved, so as to meet the varying needs of each tube feeder!

Let's keep cool and discuss the facts. Don't be misled by big corporations out for their own benefit, not the consumers.

I hope all who use tube feeding or have used tube feeding or have relatives that do get this petition sign , because it caused me personally numerous bacterial infections as well as a huge delay in feeding time daily. I say that inventors need to personally be forced to use their own products first before saying how good it is!
