The Bill will discourage those of us who see little way forward in parliamentary politics but wish to take part in public affairs. That includes those nwho disagree with us as much as those who agree with us.

the fact that this government wants to quash democracy in our country is terrifying. there job is to listen to the people and take an interest in issues that are causing concern.

Placing limits on what charities and lobbying groups are allowed to speak about should nto happen in a democratic society and goes against the values of free speech, which this country is supposed to uphold. These sound like the actions of a ditatorship.

Many powerful lobbying groups have large amounts of money and power to influence government decisions. The campaigning groups that reach ordinary people online have to rely on contributions from supporters on a voluntary basis. So how come they have to be restricted. Are you restricting the oil and drug companies to the same amount?

How can a so called Democratic Society wish to prevent people speaking out about vital issues? Surely isn't this what our parents and ancestors fought for in the past? Did they protest and fight in vain? How can we criticise the politics of other nations and then adopt preventative Bills for our own country? It sends out a very ambiguous message. We hear the words but what is the true message?
