I work closely with dissability groups as well as having twin daughters who are registered blind. I feel if we have no voice to stand up and shout for these people-who will? Quite often they are unable to aact or speak for themselves.

Everyone should have the right to voice their opinion and raise subjects that concern them for public discussion. If the government disagrees they should have the guts to enter into the discussion, not attempt to silence anyone they disagree with. Taking away the right to free speech is the act of a dictatorship not a democracy.

It is important that we do not lose our voice and we do everythign within our power to break down the barriers for disabled people. I will not be told what I can and cannot say and I will not be silenced. As long as I am on this plannet I will do whatever I can to fight for disabled people. I will not have my right to lobby peacefully taken away.

This Bill proposes that the routine campaign work of non-profits ad charities could be subject to the rigours of electoral law in the months leading up to a General Election – even if the group had absolutely no intention of its work being drawn into the Election. Many will self-censor, withdrawing from full democratic engagement out of fear of inadvertently falling foul of the law. Their freedom of expression will be severely restricted.

We are meant to hav freedom of speach and live in a democratic country. Changing the law makes a mockery of what we are so proud of. Let us have a voice. To silence us give out the signal that you are scared of the truth and wish to silence those with valid and truthful opinions to the ouside world and our own community. Freedom of speach is essential and part of our governance. Let it be!

Any campaign which is supported by the Quakers, Campaign for Real Ale and the Royal College of Nursing can't be bad!
Lobbying by private individuals and companies still needs to be dealt with. Money should not gain access to the government. It's like living in a banana republic.
