The Government is relying so much on charities to plug gaps in the provision of help for many in need. Surely they have earned the right, in return, to speak out on the issues they face in the amazing work they do!

This bill will harm the ability of vountary and community groups to raise awareness of the needs of the clients they help. Given that the 3rd sector is already under greater pressure than ever thanks to the Welfare Reforms. To gag the groups adds insult to injury and is one step closer to a totalitarian state.

Charities and campaigning groups should be free to speak on important issues as and when they wish
Our country is proud of having freedom of speech. Amendments that seek to root out wrongful use of lobbying must must not jeopardise this.
I feel I need to defend the charities who are concerned at this threat to our democracy.
Can all these charities be wrong?
I don't feel comfortable in regard to the Lobbing Bill and have concerns for my children and their future freedom of speech.
