If the Lobbying Bill passes as it is now, it could stop campaigners for the disabled being able to speak out against cuts to disability benefits, accessible transport and discrimination generally..

I feel this Bill is the toe in the door on our democracy. Should it be passed it would begin to erode our freedom of speech and open the possibility for MPs to be less accountable. Therefore it is A Bad Idea.

If this bill goes through the UK will lose `democratic' status and the rest of the world will see it as such

These proposals are an assault on our democracy. Please scrap the Bill and start afresh looking at where the real issue lies, ie Lobbying companies.

It is typical of a right-wing dominated government that they should attempt to limit what the ordinary member of the public should wish to do,whilst allowing their vested interests to ride roughshod over those organisations which attempt to represent the bulk of the population

It is vital that we the people retain the freedom of speech and full electoral and legal representation. This Bill is fundamentally flawed and an attack on democracy.

We live in a democracy but this Bill will silence Charities and Campaign Groups that represent and act upon the wishes of its supporters. The Bill is fundamentally flawed despite recent amendments and it is essential further changes are made to safeguard democracy before it is made into law.
