We have an obligation to put teachers first and give them a wage that reflects their time and devotion to educating our children. We will lose these valuable teachers to other districts. You get what you pay for! Keep our teachers here and increase their pay!

Teachers are the most important part of school, without them, our children suffer. Who cares about technology in the classroom if we don't have qualified teachers. We will lose these teachers to Union, Campbell and Los Gatos if we can't give them more than a 1% increase. It's ridiculous that we pay less than the districts around us. I will only have one child in the district next year (as I have an 8th grader graduating this June), and my younger one only has 2 more years in the district. So while I may not really benefit personally from a raise for the teachers, I 100% support it. If our teachers can't afford to pay their bills, they will look elsewhere, it's the same in any industry. Let's not let them be the lowest priority, because if that's the case, then you're really saying our children aren't the highest priority.

I have already seen what the budget cuts are doing to my child’s education and I don’t like it. However when you undercut the educators you are telling the whole world education is not a priority. We need our educators to be a priority.

Its time for the board to roll up their sleeves and figure out how to make our schools more attractive to more students. Paying our teachers a competitive salary is a great first step. Next - make sure that all of our schools look as good or better than the district office campus (no trash, no weeds, no peeling paint). Pay our teachers a fair wage and make our schools shine - enrollment numbers could magically rise and our budget problems could lessen. At last months board meeting the community gave the board at least 25 ways to raise revenue, increase enrollment and cut district office expenses (expenses that give no direct benefit to students). I hope the board takes immediate action on all of the suggestions. No more parcel taxes or bond measures until the board does the heavy lifting needed to fix the budget and pay our teachers what they are worth.

Technology and curriculum are no good without quality teachers. If you can't pay them what they are worth, at least prioritize their pay.

teachers should at least get 3% more on order to afford living in the area. Without teachers you can’t implement any new technology!

Please prioritize our teacher's salaries over all other budget items, including new district staff, and curriculum.

Teachers salary should be prioritized first Quality teachers and retention of teachers makes our district great. curriculum and technology should come after teachers as there could be opportunity to get other funding for those. District level positions should be minimized wherever possible.

Teacher should be priority. Without good teachers a new curriculum and technology is pointless. We should be better.

Teachers salary should be the priority. The Technology budget can be assisted with outside funding such as HSC, teachers salary can not.

1% increase the last two years??? That is MUCH too low. We need to retain our awesome teachers. This is what Measure H is supposed to fund! Good teachers is a direct benefit to our students.

One of the things I love most about our schools is that our teachers tend to reside in the general vicinity, which creates an atmosphere of caring about where you live and work and provides for a stronger and loving community. The cost of living here is out of control with a median home price of over 1 million. Help them live where they work so they love where they live and work.

We need to provide the foundational education for our children to be successful as they grow. College is a moot point if they do not get the tools they need to learn and problem solve. We need to prioritize and value our teachers efforts.

We need to move a pay increase into the top priority position for the upcoming negotiations. Our teachers put our children at the top of their list, it’s time we do the same. That’s how I’d like to see my property taxes used - keeping quality teachers in our district.
