Our teachers need to be made a priority. We need to pay them enough to be able to afford to live here or we risk losing good teachers.

Retired after 28 years teaching in Cambrian. Teachers must be #1 priority to retain qualified experienced educators. Retaining teachers supports the students and families of Cambrian SD.

The district officers need to put teachers ahead of themselves instead of blaming the state for their inefficiencies and selfishness.

Teachers deserve a salary increase. Less administration positions at the top would be a start. Another one would be making the budget transparent, easy and available to find for any parent. Have you tried locating it on the website? How about up to date school board minutes. If you say you are going to be transparent then do it....

Our teachers are on the front lines of our children's education. Teachers need to be made a priority, as our children have always been their priority.

They deserve every penny, the area we live in is so expensive. If only the district used what they are paying the lawyers and applied it to the teachers salary.

It is important to retain good teachers in the classrooms. No rise or 1% is not enough to keep with the cost of leaving of the most expansive area in the country. The Governor has approved more money for school. Where is it? Are school administrators are getting no rise or 1%? Probably not.

Teacher’s deserve at lease a living wage. It’s ridiculous that they aren’t even being given a cost of living increase. If the district is having issues meeting salaries, I would suggest cutting administrative & their salaries. I can cite some poor decisions by all, off the top of my head. We saw the lower enrollment coming miles away. This should not be a surprise. This area is a boom/bust area, as California. We had a boom, we’re going into a bust. It’s managable, you just need to plan for it. Their lack of planning should not be shouldered by the teachers & children of tomorrow. My children won’t even be impacted. And increasing teacher pay will, most likely, increase my tax bills. But I think it’s that important. When my kids were at Bagby, I volunteered for numorous positions. Spent hundreds of hours helping, raising money for the school. Including working phone banks for various propsitions over the years. Your neighbors & families have supported you. It’s time to support them by continuing to support the quality teachers their kids deserve.

We support our amazing teachers in a pay increase and want to make sure they are able to survive in this incredibly expensive area for years to come.
