This cafe is an amazing asset to the Brunswick community. They are the only gluten free cafe in Moreland. They have brought great joy to families like mine who suffer from coeliac disease. It would be devastating to see such a great business close it's doors. Us coeliacs need more places like this, not less.

I made sure to visit Cafe Henkel when I last visited Melbourne from Tasmania, and I fully plan to next time I’m over. It’s so amazing to me that they have created a place where I can eat anything on the menu, and my non-Coeliac friends can’t even tell the difference! It would be a huge shame if this was taken away from the Coeliac community.

Please council....we beg to approve there application. Cafe Henkel is responsible for making people feel normal again.
It provides a function venue where for once a child can host his/her birthday in a catered venue where the kid can actually be a kid and run free and enjoy themselves eating whatever it is that they want and for once the parents can sit back without a worry.
Ceoliac disease is not a fad diet. It is a serious condition which unfortunately causes those families affected to be isolated. Cafe Henkle takes that away...
Please approve the permit. Not just for Cafe Henkle but for the people

People with coeliac disease need safe places to eat out and only truly relax when in a 100% gluten free venue. Only people touched by strict dietary requirements truly understand this and Cafe Henkel are ably catering for this need.
It is hard to understand why the function room would not be approved when it isn't even in a residential area. No-one could be adversely affected by this space being used!

The best gf cafe going around!!! A definite favourite of mine and it will be such a travesty if it closes!
It is one of vedy few places which are gf certified and us coeliacs need it to stay open!!!

This is a very important cafe providing an invaluable service to the community of coeliacs. Our options are so limited, a place where we can eat stress free is vital for our health and wellbeing. A place that can cater for events and provide food services we always miss out on, would be a great asset to the community. Keep cafe henkel open, let them expand!
