This cafe is so important to my family. We need places like this to exist.

Brunswick Council do not close this café. It is the only place coeliac people can eat safely! Please find out about coeliac disease and you would understand how hard it is to eat out without getting sick.
What is the problem with Cafe Henkel’s permit application?
Do not make it so difficult the business will have no option than to shut down. They provide a community service.

We would be absolutely devasted if cafe Henkel had to close its doors... We absolutely adore your little cafe. Your food is divine and your staff are lovely. We have our fingers and toes crossed. All the best x

What a crazy waste that council would block this business in a suburb renowned for its food choices. I have driven 40 minutes across town for food at this place.

Cafe Henkel is one of very few places in Melbourne where people, like myself, who suffer from coeliac disease can eat safely. There is no risk of cross contamination, dietary needs are cateted for and nobody judges you or treats you like a burden for requiring a strict gluten free diet. Not to mention the food is amazing!!!

Those of us with Coeliac Disease and gluten intolerance NEED safe places to eat away from home! After diagnosis 16 years ago, I didn't eat out for EIGHT YEARS after being glutened too many times. Our only totally safe places are those that are 100% gluten free, such as Cafe Henkel. We don't have the food choices that other people take for granted, but we deserve to be able to get a safe meal away from home, at a place where we can enjoy the experience without worrying if we are going to get sick from a gluten hit, either directly or from cross-contamination. WE NEED CAFE HENKEL!

This cafe is fabulous and provides something sadly lacking in Melbourne. Please approve this request so they can deliver the product and service they want to and make a living as well.

What an amazing place Cafe Henkel is!!! A 100% GF Cafe is hard to come by. We travel 30-40 minutes each way, at least once a week. Far too many GF places are closing down which leaves no where for coeliacs to enjoy dining out. I'm so hoping that Cafe Henkel is able to remain open, it's a place where I can enjoy eating out and friends and family can't even tell it's GF!

This is a cafe I know and can be completely comfortable eating at as a coeliac. There are not many around and this is local to where I live. Please allow the function room be approved as this is a very important place to eat as people that suffer coeliac disease can feel safe and not have to worry about all the questions and anxiety of eating out. And those I know that are not coeliac that have eaten there have gone back several times. They do a very important thing to the community and to society.

I was just diagnosed with Coeliac disease at the start of 2017... it was so exciting to discover Cafe Henkel, it means so much to be able to eat sonewhere like this! Please keep them open!!!

We travel from near Dandenong to eat at this wonderful cafe. I hope that they are granted permission to use the function room so that we can continue to do so, and that the business may thrive.
