my 3 children&I have been coeliac for about 12 years,I find it hard to find a gluten free cafe let alone a cafe that serves delicious food,sweet& savory at affordable prices in my area.
My family have been eating at Cafe Henkel since it opened almost a year ago,please take into consideration the fact that as much as Cafe Henkel caters for everyone there is limited space,hence the function room would benefit everyone immensely.

Eating mostly gluten free is a choice I make because I feel healthier and lighter. I can only imagine what it must be like for people with coeliac disease if they wish to eat out. Cafe Henkel provides a wide and tasty menu suitable for all needs in a small (for now?) yet casually elegant surroundings. It would be fantastic if the council approves the expansion to the function room next door to accommodate more customers which I'm sure it would attract even during weekdays especially groups. As a resident of the municipality, I am delighted that we have a cafe that caters for not only for our diverse community but also attracts people from far and wide into our municipality.

Please support this gluten free cafe, as the parent of a young coeliac it’s so important to be able to eat out with confidence of no gluten contamination. There are also no venues that will provide fully gluten free children’s events, my daughter would love a gluten free high tea party with her friends.

As a recently diagnosed Coeliac I have quite a lot of anxiety attached to eating out. Cafes like this one are rare and one of the only places I can eat out without having an anxiety attack. We need council's support!

We need this place to stay open. They offer good services and food for people who have intolerance and allergies which not many places do. Fingers crossed!

As a coeliac, I was over the mood when Cafe Henkel opened with the 100% gluten free tag. It was great to have somewhere close to home I could call my local cafe. I would love to see the cafe grow.

Responsible providers of gluten free food are too few and far between. Cafe's like this receive customers from distant areas in victoria and even interstate because of the service they provide for people, especially those with medically diagnosed conditions like Coeliac disease. Please approve Cafe Henkel so that they can continue to provide much needed service.

There are so few true gluten free cafes in Victoria, to force the closure of one that attracts patrons to the area (and also potential income for other local businesses as a consequence) and provides such delicious food is nonsensical. Support local business and the people who work so hard to keep it running!

Cafe Henkel is a breath of fresh air in Melbourne where there are limited certified gluten free venues. A place where you don't have to exclude most of the menu and ask every question under the sun to ensure you can safely consume items on their menu, you also don't have to get the "we can't gaurentee speech". I live only 10 minutes from this venue and took non coeliac friends there and they, along the me loved it. Please allow them to expand because without this wonderful cafe I would be so lost in a world where gluten is everywhere!!

This is such a worthwhile and valuable service that Cafe Henkel provide. Please assist them with their applications so that more people with coeliac disease can access their food and eat out with confidence. Cross contamination is such a difficult thing to avoid even when staff are willing to do their best - a 100% gluten free cafe is so very valuable for those of us who become paranoid about eating out...
