What a great idea and a simple investment in the youth of our community. How can I help?

I am writing to state that to me, the ice rink is the best option for the East End. We have a lot of apartments. We have a number of things for the 20-something age group. We have a lot less for pre-teens. This would be a great help for that age group. This would be a great community asset that would add greatly to the quality of life for families with younger children. It could also reduce the commuting that many in the east end currently do for skating - going to Neville Island or Harmarville.

The Armory's original purpose as community resource for the citizens of Pittsburgh should be preserved, and the ice rink is the only proposed use that honors this purpose.

As a city resident I fully support the idea of skating rink at the Hunt Armory.

It would be great! Only year round ice facility in the city.

I support the comments of my wife Jennifer Andrade, including the benefits such a rink would bring to the city in general Such a rink would also possibly expose many of our African American youth in the city to the benefits and fun of hockey.

Ice rink would be great. Hockey, broomball, and open skates are so much fun!

The city of Pittsburgh has only one indoor ice rink within its limits -- Consol Energy Center. A city of this size surely can do better and provide the benefits such a facility would offer ... and not continue to put the interests of private developers ahead.

The ice rink would be a wonderful way to add another layer of vibrancy to the shadyside area. Please consider this worthy proposal

We need an indoor rink in the East End. Local teams will surely use it, i.e. Allderdice, Central Catholic and will provide more reliable ice than the outdoor rink at Schenley Park.

Having an ice rink is a wonderful option for families to have great fun without it costing too much. It's a safe place for young adults to go also who don't have a lot of options in their late teen years.

This is a terrific idea. It will hopefully be a great recreational, social space that also promotes physical fitness for children and the community at large that don't have an indoor rink all that nearby.

Of the three proposals this is the one likely to serve the most people, and serve as a great place for indoor exercise, sports, parties, etc.
